People counting and tracking sensors from the leading manufacturers send data to Vemcount, either pushed by the device in real time or collected every hour.

POS and Sales Data

Sales and transactions are imported from your POS or ERP, so conversion rate, basket size and sales per visitor appear next to footfall without manual uploads.

Data Export

Footfall and count data can be delivered to the systems that need it, from retail ERP platforms to your own data warehouse.

API

Everything in the platform is available through the API, so BI tools, apps and building systems can read the same numbers your teams see in Vemcount.

How It Works

An integration is reusable for every customer of that vendor, as long as you can give us the required API, database or account access.

Our support team configures the connection in Vemcount, validates the first import together with you and keeps an eye on the data flow afterwards. Sensor data arrives event-driven or hourly depending on the device, and sales data hourly or daily depending on the POS.

Any customer of these vendors can use the integration, provided the vendor API, database or account access is available.

Shopify sales synchronise to Vemcount every hour.

You provide the store name, API key and access token.
Our support team configures the Shopify integration in Vemcount and selects the relevant store location where needed.
We validate the first import with you and confirm the sales data.

You or your Business Central partner provide the tenant, environment, company, store, client and secret details.
Our support team enters these in the Vemcount Business Central integration.
We validate the API connection, the first import and the terminal mapping together with you.

How often data arrives depends on the system:

Irisys and Brickstream: event-driven, the sensor or gateway pushes data to Vemcount
Hikvision Cloud and Eco-Counter: every hour
Shopify: every hour
Lightspeed Retail: daily

Data also flows out of Vemcount. Footfall and count data can be exported to Fastmag, and everything in the platform is available through the API for BI tools, data warehouses and your own applications. Read more about VemFusion.

How an Integration Goes Live

1. Access

You or your vendor partner provide the access details, for example store name, API key and token for Shopify, or tenant, environment and company for Business Central.

2. Configuration

Our support team sets up the integration in Vemcount and maps stores, locations and terminals to the right sites.

3. Validation

We run the first import together with you and check the numbers against your own system before the data is used in reports.

4. Running

Data then synchronises automatically, event-driven, hourly or daily depending on the system, and support follows up if a feed stops.
