Import Footfall Data
Import Footfall Data
This guide explains how to import historical or external footfall data from a CSV file into a selected Vemcount location.
Use Footfall Data Manager to import historical or external footfall data from a CSV file into a selected Vemcount location.
Before importing, prepare the CSV so the data is clean and easy to map. A well-structured file makes validation easier and reduces the risk of mapping errors during import.
Preparation point | What to check |
Date and time | Use a consistent date/time format where possible. |
In and Out values | Keep count-in and count-out in separate columns. |
Cell content | Avoid missing cells and avoid mixing labels with numbers in the same cell. |
Minimal structure | A clean file with only the needed columns is easier to map and validate. |
How to start a footfall import
Go to Manage and open Footfall Data.
Click Import CSV and upload the CSV file.
Select the correct location.
Skip the data template if you do not use one.
Choose the correct CSV format in Advanced options.
Important: Use a clean CSV to simplify mapping and validation.
