What metrics does Vemcount have · What is conversion rate · What is capture rate · KPI definitions · What do the metrics mean · Footfall vs sales metrics
When building a custom report you can select up to 5 metrics from six categories: Footfall, Sales, Queue, Demographics, Weather, and custom. The most common KPIs are defined below.
Footfall / Count | Number of visitors entering (entries). The base traffic metric. |
Inside / Occupancy | People currently inside, calculated as entries minus exits (Live Inside). |
Conversion rate | Share of visitors who make a purchase: transactions ÷ visitors. Links footfall to sales. |
Capture rate | Share of passers-by who enter the location. |
Dwell time | Average time spent in a location or zone. |
Queue length / wait time | People waiting and how long they wait. |
Sales metrics | Turnover/transactions, used alongside footfall for conversion and sales-per-visitor. |
Demographics | Breakdown such as Adult/Children (available via Zones). |
Weather | Weather data overlaid to explain traffic variation. |
Metrics can be viewed at 15-min, 30-min, hourly or daily intervals, as sum or average, with comparison periods and prediction.
