Alerts & notifications — email, SMS, and webhooks

Written by Vemco Support | Aug 19, 2026, 2:41:18 AM

Alerts fire in real time when a configured threshold is crossed. They can be delivered by email, SMS, WhatsApp, or webhook. Click the 🔔 bell icon (top navigation) to view active alerts and create new ones.

Alert types

Occupancy alert

Fires when Live Inside count exceeds or drops below a set threshold. Example: alert when store exceeds 200 people.

Queue alert

Fires when queue length or average wait time exceeds a limit. Example: alert when wait time exceeds 10 minutes.

Daily target alert

Fires when a location reaches or misses its daily visitor target by end of day.

Sensor status alert

Fires when a device goes offline or data stops flowing for a configured period.

Delivery methods

Email

Instant notification to any email address including external recipients.

SMS

Text message to a mobile number. Requires SMS credits on your account.

WhatsApp

WhatsApp message delivery for teams using WhatsApp for operations.

Webhook

HTTP POST to a URL — integrate with Slack, Teams, PagerDuty, or any custom system. Payload includes alert type, location, value, and timestamp.

MQTT

Publish to an MQTT broker for IoT integrations and real-time data pipelines.

Best practice: Set active hours on all alerts to avoid receiving notifications outside trading hours. Use webhook delivery to integrate with your team's Slack or Microsoft Teams channel for immediate visibility.
