Vemcount – Firewall guidelines

This page provides instructions for configuring your firewall to allow your device to communicate with our servers. It includes information about IP addresses and ports that need to be open in order for your device to function properly.

Please note that all ports should only be open for outbound connections.

The main IP addresses you need to allow access to are:

  • 18.195.189.44
  • 15.197.146.64
  • 3.33.145.212

The following ports need to be open for the corresponding URL addresses:

Data Push

  • data.vemcount.com

    • Port 80 and 443 (for most devices)
    • Port 440 (for older devices that cannot handle TLS above v1.0)

Time Server

  • ntp.vemcount.com

    • Port 123 (UDP)

License Server

  • license.vemcogroup.com

    • Port 443

MQTT Server

  • data.vemcount.com (MQTT)

    • Port 1883

 

For accessing our services, the following DNS and IP addresses need to be open:

Date upload service

  • ftp.vemcount.com

    • IP: 52.58.211.223
    • Port 21 (ftp/ftps) and 121 (sftp)

Irisys service

  • irisys.vemcount.com

    • IP: 52.58.139.245
    • Port 80

Sensor VPN service

  • services.vemcount.com

    • IP: 52.58.211.223
    • Port 1194 (UDP)

Private cloud VPN service

  • vpn.vemcount.com

    • IP: 52.58.139.245
    • Port 443

Please note that the rules you need to add may vary depending on your device type. To help you get started, we've provided an example set of firewall rules for two common device types, Brickstream and Xovis.
