Types of permissions

Learn about the common permissions that can be assigned to user accounts and roles by an admin user

Listed below are common permissions with explanations that can be assigned to users/roles in the reporting system.

Permission

Description

Footfall

Allows user to report on footfall traffic and view shared footfall dashboards.  

If set to OFF, the user cannot generate reports. Shared footfall dashboards will not display data.

Weather

Allows the user to report on weather and include weather widgets in dashboards.

Maps

Provides user access to Maps (visual representation of location showing counter locations and traffic heatmaps).

Age and Gender

Provides access to Age and Gender reporting.

Advanced Period Steps

Provides more granularity (below 15 minutes) for time interval reporting (e.g. every 5 minutes, every minute. NB: each sensor needs to be set to reporting the same level of granularity.

Events

Adds an events calendar to the left side menu. When set to ON, a user can view events in both the calendar and reporting (both chart and report table). This feature is handy to determine a correlation between events and foot traffic e.g. if a promotion encouraging store traffic is having success.

Manage Events

Enables a user to add/edit events in the events calendar.

Promote to library

Allows a user to share a dashboard to a ‘library’ so it can be used as a template for generating other reports.

Allow embedding

Allows a user to share a dashboard or widget to a website/screen by displaying the html code to be used.

View only

When set to ON, this permission overwrites any other permissions that are activated to a view only role. Restrictions includes:
View only shared dashboards. Cannot create or copy dashboards.
User can create reports and save reports if footfall analytics enabled.

Manage Users

Allows ability to create and manage users.

Reset inside

Allows ability to reset occupancy widget.

Share reports

Allows a user to share a saved report to roles.
