Metric widget

View key data points from your various data sources as a single, easy-to-read numerical value.

Follow the steps below to create a metric widget on your Vemco dashboard:
  1. On the dashboard page, click the blue plus sign in the top-right corner, then select 'Add widget'.

  2. In the widget selection window, choose the 'Metric' widget.

  3. In the 'Metric' dropdown, select the type of data you want to display.

  4. In the 'Source' dropdown, choose the data source for the metric.

    1. Location: view data from the whole location (could be one or multiple sensors).
    2. Zones: view data from one or multiple zones.
    3. Entrances: view data from one or multiple entrances (if you only have one entrance, pick "location" instead).
    4. Groups: view data from multiple sensors which have been grouped in settings.
    5. Tags: view data from multiple sensors with the same tag.
  5. In the 'Period' dropdown, select the time period for the displayed data.

  6. (Optional) In the 'Compare' dropdown, select a previous time period if you'd like to compare data.

  7. Set the 'Opening hours' to specify a timeframe for the data. Tip: For 24/7 data, enter '00:00' in both fields. However, consider excluding non-customer-related hours if they’re not relevant.

  8. (Optional) Enable overlapping if needed.

  9. Click 'Next' to proceed to the widget layout.

  10. Enter a title (required) and an optional description for your widget.

  11. (Optional) Adjust size and color. Recommended size for a metric widget is width: 1, height: 1.

  12. Click 'Save'—your new widget will now appear on your dashboard. Tip: A good title for the metric widget could reflect the chosen period, such as 'This week'
