Xovis sensors can be licensed with optional analytics extension packs beyond basic people counting. Extensions are activated through the Xovis Hub License Administrator and require a minimum firmware version. Most extensions require firmware 5.3 or higher — check your sensor's firmware version in ⚙ Settings → Devices before ordering.
Log in to hub.xovis.cloud → Products → License Administrator
Select the devices (by MAC address) you want to license
Choose license type: Pay-per-use (billed monthly by usage) or Prepaid (fixed duration)
Select the extension packs you want to activate
Review the summary and click Issue licence
Important: PC2S, PC2R, PC2SE, and PC2RE sensors require firmware 5.6 or newer to support extension packs. Always update firmware before activating extensions. Use Settings → Devices → three-dot menu → Connect to device to access the sensor's web interface for firmware updates.
Gender statistics | Reports estimated male/female split of visitors passing through the counting zone. Requires firmware ≥ 5.3. Displays in Vemcount demographic widgets. |
Apparent age | Estimates visitor age brackets (child/adult/senior). Requires firmware ≥ 5.8. Displays in Vemcount age analytics. |
Staff exclusion | Filters out staff members from visitor counts using badge-based or appearance-based identification. PC-Series only. Requires firmware ≥ 5.3. Significant accuracy improvement for stores with high staff-to-visitor ratios. |
View direction | Detects the direction people are facing at a product display or window — useful for measuring advertising and display attention. Requires firmware ≥ 5.3. |
Face mask detection | Detects whether visitors are wearing face masks. Requires firmware ≥ 5.3. |
Wheelchair detection | Counts wheelchair users separately from walking visitors. Required for accessibility compliance reporting and inclusive retail analytics. Requires firmware ≥ 5.3. Added as a new feature in APS-M Firmware 2.11 (enhanced detection). |
Pram / stroller detection | Counts prams and strollers as a separate category — useful for family-focused venues, toy stores, and baby departments. Requires firmware ≥ 5.3. |
Bicycle detection | Detects and counts bicycles — useful for transit hubs, outdoor retail, and active travel analytics. Requires firmware ≥ 5.3. |

Vemcount mapping: Once extension packs are activated on the sensor, the data flows automatically to Vemcount. Gender and Age data appear in the Demographics widget. Staff exclusion affects all visitor count metrics. Object detection categories appear as separate data streams in zone data.
